Tad to Krystal: "Hell, I'm starting to feel that there's THREE of
us in this marriage!" He's only just NOW starting to feel like
that?
WTF is WRONG with Jesse? Angie and Gardner are going down in the
elevator and Jesse just stands there yelling and pounding on the
doors that are CLEARLY not going to open again -- he should be
hightailing down or up the stairs to meet up with them! He DID do
that, but he wasted precious time futilely pounding on the closed
doors and yelling her name.
If Julia is losing a lot of blood, why haven't we seen anything
other than a couple of drops? I didn't even see or hear her get
shot. People were panicking and suddenly the crowd parted and she
looked stricken (so to speak) as she slowly sank to the ground.
Huh? Was he even pointing the gun in her DIRECTION? Did it
ricochet?
Why did Jesse decide to take his jacket off at such a crucial
moment? If he's not going to use it, all it did was make his nice
white shirtsleeves more visible, all the better to see him as a
target. I suppose it could have been restricting his movements,
though. I'm sure that came in handy at the end of the episode.
Why is Adam suddenly so affectionate with Kathy? Has even met or
SEEN her before today? I'm not sure he even knows who she is at
this point. I know he's incredibly relieved that Colby is okay and
Kathy is WITH Colby, but it's just kind of weird. It made me wonder
if Kathy has been given the speech about strange men being overly
friendly.
Babe told JAR that today PROVES it -- they can't take life or each
other for granted! That's funny, I thought she was going to say
that it PROVES it -- TERRIBLE things happen whenever those two get
together! And then they stand there, still in their robes, kissing,
despite the fact that Colby, Adam, Krystal and all their friends are
all downstairs in the path of a violent gunman who has taken the
bride hostage. Nice to know they have their priorities straight.
Jesse sees the helicopter take off and he LEAPS off the building
ledge to try to grab hold of the landing rails. The episode ends
with him stretched straight out as far as he can from fingertips to
toes, halfway between the building edge and the helicopter edge!
Okay, now THAT is what you call a good old-fashion CLIFFHANGER!!!
It's like the movie serials of yore when the car goes off the cliff
and hangs in mid-air ... until NEXT week! All things considered,
this was a GREAT episode, with lots of action, LOTS of involvement
by LOTS of core characters and even bystanders (the helicopter
pilot) getting shot! I wouldn't want that going on all the time,
but I thought it was very engaging (except for the Greenlee stuff).
