Okay, I did NOT like the cheesy special effect they used at the beginning of the show where Angie, teary-eyed remembers the emotional and dramatic scene where she wept over Jessie at his bedside when he was dying. Then suddenly several things sparkled, but it the flashing/sparkling seemed to emanate from her EYES, making her look like some kind of space-alien shooting lasers out of her eye sockets. That totally RUINED the dramatic effect of the moment! Whose bright idea was THAT? Feh!

You can see the actual clip HERE.

I have to say that, despite the inconsistencies in the writing, I kind of like the CM is portraying Ryan right now. He's not CONSTANTLY (I mean 24/7 compared to pre-amnesia Ryan) "ON". He's not straining with every syllable and breath he takes. He's just ... a guy. His eyes and face are more relaxed than I've EVER seen them, and that includes when he's sleeping or passed out. For once, he's not being so intensely SOAPY. It's a definitely improvement! I might actually LIKE **this** version of Ryan. Alas, I doubt it will last very long. Even if he DOESN'T get his memory back any time soon, the intense "acting" will probably pop up again.

Robin "toning down his overacting was a pretty neat trick -- now make him cluck like a chicken!" Coutellier
