Tad knew about David possibly being the killer last night -- why did
he wait until the next day to warn Dixie about it? Not that she
believed it. She NEVER believes she's in danger, no matter HOW many
times she or her loved ones are kidnapped, assaulted, stalked and
manipulated to ludicrous degrees. She is, after, a "Sickie Magnet"
simply because she IS so utterly gullible at ALL times.
The gloved hand that was injecting something into the peanut butter
jar seemed distinctly feminine to me. Of course, part of that
impression is the way the hand moved, but that was also for dramatic
effect. Still, I cannot imagine a GUY moving his hands and fingers
like that. Besides, it was on the small side for a guy's hand.
Then again, they often show different feet, hands, etc., in cases
like this, so it really COULD be anybody. I think we can be sure
it's not Winifred, though.
How did the killer know if Babe was going eat the peanut butter,
though. Krystal told Winnie to buy specific things for the peanut-
butter/banana pancakes, so at that point, only Krystal and Winnie,
and possibly Lucretia, should even know that Babe was going to eat
them. That points to the killer being in the house at the time of
the instructions being given; of course, the tunnels are always
accessible to anyone at all. I WOULD say that the killer is JAR
(I've been hoping as much), but I don't think he'd ever take the
chance that the baby would inadvertently eat some of it. Then
again, what TPTB conveniently forgot once JAR grew up was that HE
was deathly allergic to peanuts and, in fact, went into anaphylactic
shock at McKay's when he was little because they had used peanut oil
on the grill on which his hamburger was cooked. Maybe they'll bring
his allergy history back up, saying that Little Adam would never be
allowed to have peanut butter because he inherited the allergy. If
JAR didn't think anyone else would eat the peanut butter, and if he
got rid of it after the pancakes were made, he could STILL be the
killer.
