(Thursday)

I just noticed that there's blood coming out of JAR's ear. Good.

That was pretty weird kid-giggling in Dixie's dream. It reminded me of Mordred, the evil spawn of King Arthur and his sister Morgana in the movie "Excalibur".

Is that blood or glass glittering on JAR's leg? If it's glass, I think binding it super-tightly to his leg is somewhat counter- productive ... well, maybe not, depending on your point of view.

They are rewriting history on the Ryan sperm deposit issue. Ryan did NOT do it because he was "short on cash" when he first came to town. He did this well AFTER he came to town, and it was because he needed $90,000 to pay off a loan shark (I think he borrowed the money to buy back a brooch that Gillian had to sell, or some such thing) and he had the LUDICROUS notion that he could make that $90K (in TWO DAYS, mind you) by donating sperm, thus prompting one of my better siglines: "get the jugs & put on your goggles, ladies, 'cause RYAN'S A 'COMIN'!"

Di to Dixie: "I mean, you have ACHED for her since the day you lost her -- you have a RIGHT to have your child in your life!" Actually, no, she DOESN'T have that right. She didn't "lose" Kate -- she VOLUNTARILY signed away all parental rights to her child, and totally and WILLFULLY disregarded TAD'S rights.

Looks like the speculations that Emma/Kate might be a chimera might be true -- Annie actually SAID the word today in reference to a mythological story Ryan was telling. She insisted that a certain creature was definitely NOT a gargoyle, but a chimera. Several of us have mentioned in the past seeing a show on the Discovery Channel called "I Am My Own Twin", where DNA extracted from different parts of the same body can show distinctly different genetic patterns. From Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chimera_%28genetics%29): "Chimeras are formed from four parent cells (two fertilized eggs or early embryos are fused together) or three parent cells (a fertilized egg is fused with an unfertilized egg or a fertilized egg is fused with an extra sperm). Each population of cells keeps its own character and the resulting animal is a mosaic of mis-matched parts. An analogy is two jigsaw puzzles cut using an identical cutter, but with different pictures. You can make a single puzzle out of the mis-matched parts, but the completed puzzle will show parts of both different pictures. The likelihood of a child being a chimera is increased if the child is created via in vitro fertilization." A later scene with Annie and Ryan showed them reading on-line about a case that was either featured in that show or is a thinly veiled story about it and the court case involved.

Adam begs JAR not to leave him and not to leave his OWN son because his son NEEDS him. No he doesn't. A father like JAR would screw ANYONE up for LIFE! He'll bring nothing but fear, dread and confusion upon that child, not to mention a plethora of REALLY bad life decisions. He's also a CRAPPY role model.

Adam blames Babe for JAR having jumped out a window. While she certainly shares a HUGE part of the blame for setting him off, he made his OWN decision to do that. Besides, JAR is ALWAYS a powder keg ready go to off -- he could just as easily make a decision to get rip-roaring drunk and jump out of a 4th floor window because they showed "The View" one day instead of his favorite soap opera Face it -- he's a psychopath. He's most DEFINITELY bi-polar (as yet undiagnosed), in any case.
