(Wednesday-Friday)

"Succumbing To The Gas" -- That's the "title" of Wednesday's episode, according to my Tivo guide -- BWAHAHAHAHAHAAAAA! Now THAT's an apt title. The question is, whose gas are they referring to?

I liked the in-jokes and historical references. Adam (played by David Canary) referring to Krystal and Brooke as his "golden canaries" was cute. Meanwhile, Palmer made a comment about Opal finally going running off to Venus. This was an oblique reference to a party where the subtle, NON-costume theme was Venetian (as in Venice), but Opal misunderstood and came dressed as a woman from Venus, complete with antennae :-)

I had to stop watching for a while as Ryan told Kendall she couldn't be trusted to make any decisions about having her baby. Really, I thought I was going to THROW UP! Actually, the chicken was ready -- well, the timer wasn't going to go off for another couple of minutes, but I got up anyway because the prospect of eating raw chicken was WAY more enticing than the thought of listening to Ryan for another SECOND. Then I had to wait for my food to digest so I would only have DRY heaves when I continued watching, as opposed to blowing chunks. I hope Zach kept copies of that video showing Ryan tearing up the hotel room and almost punching out Greenlee BECAUSE GREENLEE WAS GOING TO HAVE HIS BABY. That should come in handy during the custody battle.

Ah, more history: OATMEAL. JaNut was talking to MirrorNut about how Wilma used to make her eat oatmeal while Natalie got French Toast. I'm pretty sure this was actually mentioned before -- certainly the gist of it was, but I think the actual OATMEAL part of it was. She got the brilliant idea of putting the truck in the quicksand because the toy truck went into her oatmeal. Another in-joke is that, many years back, when Brooke and Edmund ended up in quicksand at Willow Lake, on the set they were actually in a big vat of ... OATMEAL!

If the truck is clearly tilting to one side, why don't the people inside try to space themselves out evenly instead of all piling up on the DOWN end?

Ethan tells Simone that he's letting go of his Zach issues. Yeah, hiring Ryan for the sole purpose of pissing off Zach is a great start.

With all the security in the casino, how is it that Ryan was able to just walk into Zach's office and snoop around?

Tad & company come upon the truck and Jonathan frantically trying to break the lock. Screams can be heard from inside the truck, but Tad just stands there and calmly asks Jonathan what HE'S doing? How about what YOU'RE doing, Tad -- i.e., NOTHING!
