While watching the job applicants for supervising producer, I felt a pang of nostalgia for our favorite sleazy tabloid reporter, Donald Steele. I have such fond memories of him being fake poisoned by (who else?) David :-)

I like Mary P's appellation for Amanda of "A Man, Duh!", but it's hard to read. I'm going to try out A-man-duh, Anymanduh or Anymanda and see how they feel.

JAR tells Di that he's told baby Adam about her since the day he was born. Minor nitpick, JAR - you never laid eyes on your son until he was about 10 months old and didn't even know he existed until shortly before that. I thought it was pretty funny that Di said JAR's hair had changed :-) How is she keeping the black roots from showing on her own head? Is she bleaching the roots every night?

I thought Greenlee had a copyright on pink spaghetti-strapped sundresses -- she should sue Anymanduh for copyright infringement.

SEMI-TAN: My latest PC project is converting video to DVD. It started as an experiment in getting stuff from my satellite PVR hard drive directly onto the PC (like the entire I Love Lucci marathon) and then branched out into putting our VHS family home movies (which my cousin had compiled onto VHS a few years ago) on DVD, and then I got the bright idea to put other VHS tapes onto DVD to preserve them. I got an updated video capture card and s/w and set to it. I discovered that I have more AMC stuff than I realized. Among them:

• AMC 20th anniversary show (1990)
  
  
• Oprah special on Erica and all her men (date unknown)
  
  
• Part of a Crystal Ball episode (where everyone obnoxiously features the keepsake ornament for sale)
  
  
• AMC shows from 10/26 & 10/27/89 (I know the exact dates because the first one was interrupted with a special report informing us that Jim Bakker had been sentenced for fraud :-)
  
  
• AMC beach party featuring the infamous SPEEDOMAN (7/4/00)
  
  
• Bianca finding out from Kendall that Miranda was presumed dead
  
  
• Erica as a drunken Las Vegas showgirl
  
  
• Plus some other stuff. The one being recorded at the moment features Emily Ann, David Rampal, Nico & Cecily and ... wait for it ... MR. ULATOWSKI (I think)!

  These will be a rich source of new vidcaps (and probably fairly good quality ones except for the one(s) with bad tracking that I couldn't overcome).
