Okay, see, HERE is where the Laverys should have paid attention:
Jonathan not only needs adult supervision, but he NEEDS to have
someone be appointed as his GUARDIAN. He is CLEARLY not capable of
making competent adult decisions, temporarily or not, but the police
say they can kick Erin out and because Jonathan insists he didn't do
it and he doesn't need a lawyer because he's "good" now. It seems
kind of stupid for the police to actually DO so, though, since
anything he says has a good chance (in the REAL world) of being
thrown out. He doesn't really have the mental capacity to give
consent to being questioned without a lawyer or guardian present.
This is all assuming that he's not faking all this childish
innocence to begin with, of course. OTOH, if he IS really faking
it, why the HELL would he want to return to the town where he
previously wreaked so much havoc? If he's doing it just to get away
with it, you'd think he's stay far, far away from ever being found
out. That said, see my comments below as to ERIN's state of mind
(or lack thereof).
I can (sort of) understand Erin doing Jonathan's shopping, as
promised, but why the HELL is she out running when she should be at
the station trying to figure out what's going on with her mentally
challenged brother who is accused of kidnapping? At the very LEAST,
she should be getting him a fucking LAWYER! Has she even MENTIONED
the fact that he's at the police station to Ryan, the Lord and
Master of their clan? I liked Erin when she first appeared on the
show, but they've written her as such a one-note, empty-headed and
unaccountably shrewish bitch that I just want her to either leave or
just sit down and *SHUT.UP*. I hate to say it, but JONATHAN usually
makes more sense than SHE does. It's like virtually ALL of her
actions and statements are contrary to what common sense would
dictate.
All the church scenes just left me cold. The Father Clarence stuff
is SOOOO contrived, and I don't GIVE a shit what RYAN wants. I
think this entire storyline should just END, but since that's not
going to happen, it's just wasted time. I just ABHOR the idea of
Kendall having a baby that ties her to Ryan FOREVER. It's not like
Adam and his many progeny and all the custody situations that have
occurred and will CONTINUE to occur -- at least Adam makes it
INTERESTING. Tying Ryan to the baby ties Ryan to the SHOW and he
just makes my skin crawl!
Did you seen Little Adam copping a feel from Babe and the way she
eventually pulled his little hand away before he yanked it a little
TOO far to the side? He was just being a baby and absently grasping
onto the convenient edge of the keyhole opening in the bodice, but
it WAS kind of funny :-)
