You know, when someone loses a loved one, let alone TWO loved ones, they ARE allowed to grieve for that person or persons. Why can't any of Greenlee's friends and family (except Ethan who is just sort of there) figure that out? She won't eat or sleep? So what? She will if she gets hungry or sleepy enough and she IS in the hospital, so they can give her an IV. Of COURSE she's DEPRESSED! When you suffer that kind of emotional loss, just going through the motions in a kind of a trance of not caring about anything is absolutely NORMAL. It's really about the only way TO cope in that situation, and now no one at all is depending upon her, so she doesn't HAVE to "be strong" for anyone. She's not GOING to get her plucky spirit back for a very long time. Sheesh, give her a WEEK at least! No? How about 24 fucking HOURS? Don't leave her alone for a while, try to take care of her and don't let her harm herself. That's really about all you can do.

TAN:

On the heels of our DNA/chimera discussion, I thought I'd pass along a link someone at my ISP told us about. It's a site for nerds which discusses Insultingly Stupid Movie Physics. A lot of the explanations as to why some things are physically (literally) impossible are pretty technical, but you can still skip over a lot of it and get the gist of it. At the end of the generic explanations, there is a list of movies such as Apocalypse, Titanic, etc., and individual explanations of specific things in the movies that are ridiculous, physically speaking. It reminded me of some of the ridiculous things we point out on r.a.t.s.a :-)
