Why does Erica keep seeing her father as being so SINISTER? He wasn't SINISTER with her -- he just didn't give a damn. He blew off her 14th birthday party, so he wasn't there to stop Richard Fields from raping her. When she told him what happened, he didn't believe her. She went back home and he continued to ignore her. Then he faked his own death and became a clown. He came back into her life when Bianca was a baby. She wanted so desperately to be loved by him, and she shared her life and shares in her company with him. He succumbed to greed and sold his stocks without a second thought as to what it would do to her not only to lose her company, but to be betrayed by him like that. Still, even with EVERYTHING that has happened, it's been because Eric Kane was a selfish bastard who didn't GIVE a flying f**k about her, NOT because he was plotting against her or waiting in the wings to watch her disintegrate.
