Boogie Chillen April 13, 2004 (Tuesday)
Wait a second -- or an entire night as the case may be. Bianca took
the baby in the middle of the night -- not even that late, for that
matter. If that's the case, why the F**K doesn't JR know about it
until the NEXT MORNING? Was the hospital just trying to be
considerate in not telling the baby's PARENTS that it had been
"misappropriated" because they wanted to let them SLEEP? Then,
after they hem and haw and finally tell JR, Joe shows up and says he
thinks it's time to call the police. WHAT? They haven't even
called the police YET?
Bianca thinking the baby is hers is perfectly logical -- after all,
it IS her baby. Taking the baby and leaving and being totally
oblivious to anything else, though, is STUPID and doesn't make any
SENSE. Bianca is supposed to be a smart, patient, logical person.
She KNOWS everyone thinks her baby is dead. She KNOWS Babe also had
a baby. She KNOWS better than to just walk out of the hospital with
the baby. She KNOWS that all she has to do is ask them to perform
the simplest of tests to establish the parentage of the baby, but
NOOOOO, she just takes the baby and leaves. She has had a HELL of a
lot of delusions since she was raped -- really SERIOUSLY UNBALANCED
delusions. Frankly, although we all know she wouldn't HURT the
baby, she needs some SERIOUS psychotherapy as she has, once again,
shown she really isn't fit to be a parent at this time. I'm pretty
sure that, in the real world, Social Services would remove the baby
from her care and allow only supervised visits until she could show
that she is mentally competent to care for it. If she was a
character on "King of the Hill", we would hear the following line
more than once: "That girl ain't right." I know it's a standard
soap theme for mothers who lose babies to temporarily go crazy, but
they are really WRECKING Bianca's character with her REPEATED breaks
from reality.
