How is it that anyone in the Chandler tunnels can hear what's being said in the house proper with crystal clarity, but no one ever hears them talking in the tunnels? Adam DID appear to hear creaking noises from the tunnels, although it wasn't clear that he realized they were coming from the tunnel.

Mary slobbering all over Jamie was absolutely DISGUSTING! I'm surprised Jamie didn't go mute and nearly catatonic over THAT -- that would be MUCH more frightening, I would imagine, than a crazy homicidal woman hugging him like a (crazed and suffocating) mom.
