Remember the other day when I said I could remember what's-his- face's name if I thought of fields? Well there he is, standing in a field! What field is it, you ask? Why Flanders' Field, of course :-) I'm amazed he's getting cellphone reception. Actually, it reminds me more of the Pine Barrens (in NJ) in a Sopranos episode. Why is it so barren still? It's MAY -- isn't it about time for green stuff to be sprouting?

Impromptu commercial or not, why would major department stores in NYC want to stock Fusion products just because Carlos told them to look into his eyes? Does it occur to any of them to actually SEE or TEST (like have someone put some on) any of the products? It's ludicrous to think that these ridiculous, spur-of-the-moment marketing ideas of Simone's create such an insatiable demand for a product. If I think someone in a commercial is cute or sexy, that's hardly going to make me become rapid in my pursuit of trying to buy their product.

Edmund tells Mia that she's the first woman he's wanted to be with in a long time. Hello? A few months ago he was drugging and imprisoning Maria to FORCE her to be with him, and only last fall he was MARRYING Brooke! (I wasn't sure of the month, so I Googled "brooke + sausage" for 2002) I guess Maria isn't the ONLY one with memory loss. All things considered, it was a little creepy when he told Mia: "You're not getting away from me THAT easy." RUN, Mia, RUUUUNNN!!!!

Not content to scare everyone ELSE about Jackson being about to die, Opal now has to tell Jack himself. Yeah, that'll help speed up his recovery. Thanks Opal!

Mia and Edmund are SOOO clueless! Mia wants Edmund and Maddie to go to picnic in the park with her later on that day. Edmund thinks Maddie would LOVE that idea. Just how much waxy buildup does he HAVE in those hairy ears? Maddie doesn't want Mia anywhere NEAR Edmund! Mia says she has a special surprise for Maddie. Edmund, showing at least a slight comprehension of the problem with Maddie and Mia, says he doesn't know if Maddie deserves it since she hasn't exactly been an angel lately. Mia says that kids need to be spoiled sometimes. SOMETIMES? Has there EVER been a time when Maddie WASN'T spoiled? At the rate she's going, people are going to start thinking year-old milk smells better.

Did you notice Opal called Jack "Jake"?

How come it's so cold that you can see Flander's condensed breath as he pants in the barren woods, yet nearby Maddie is wearing a light, sleeveless cotton blouse and the sun is shining (and there's actually green grass)? The weather HAS been odd lately, but gimme a break!
