Boogie Chillen February 10-11, 2003 (Monday & Tuesday)
A couple of comments from last Thursday and Friday:
Anyone else snicker when Kendall said that she needed to carry her
weight around there? At least she's truthful about not planning to do
much work.
Oh look -- JR actually had a FACE under his hair. It's about TIME
they cut it! Maybe the actor, upon knowing for sure that he had been
fired, decided to say F-U to AMC by at LEAST getting a decent haircut.
I might not have recognized him if not for the horrible acting. I
think that's the first time we've actually seen his FACE.
And on to Monday & Tuesday:
Considering he's slicing into his wife AND baby, David seems to be
standing pretty far away from the table. Hey, it's a BODY, not a
salad bar with a sneeze guard! If nothing else, it would be hard on
his back.
The phone connection to the specialist in Boston was lost -- what were
the odds of THAT happening?
Why do TV soap slaps almost ALWAYS end up the same way? The slapper
slaps the slappee and the slappee dramatically turns their head to the
side, holding it in that position for a few beats without responding.
Most people would at LEAST say: "OW!"
If Michael didn't want Kendall to know how mega-rich he is, maybe he
should have reconsidered the helicopter to dinner in NYC strategy. If
my date did that, it would be a pretty big clue that he was filthy
rich. That and bringing a maid on a date.
Jack is certainly right about the recycled dialogue and fights he and
Erica have. NOTHING has changed.
Did anyone else cringe at the scene where David went into the chapel
after the operation, with the voice of Janelle explaining things to
Maggie on top of it? Don't get me wrong, David Irizarry did a GREAT
job. If it was just DAVID in the chapel or just JANELLE talking to
Maggie & Trey in the hallway, that would be one thing, but to have her
narrate over HIS scene TOTALLY skewed it for me. It reminded me of a
voiceover for some insurance company trying to prove they actually
CARE about us.
I thought Maria and Aidan were resting. Now all of the sudden she's
down on the beach dancing. She was just DEATHLY ill about 2 days ago.
I just love how quickly people recover from things on this show.
Either they heal/mend from near fatal illnesses or injuries at warp
speed or it takes months and months to recover from hangnails.
If you KNEW an assassin was out to kill you and your companion, and it
was a near certainty that he could show up at any MOMENT, would you go
dancing out in the open where you could be a dancing duck?
