Boogie Chillen November 7-8, 2002 (Thursday & Friday)
Edmund is squinting kind of hard for someone who is unconscious and
not breathing.
LOVED how Maria just blipped right over the fact that, in between the
blubbering and hand-wringing and general helplessness over medically
helping Edmint, she referred to the thingamajig under the membrane she
had just cut as a "poorly vascularized digamentous structure".
Doesn't EVERYBODY call it that?
Simone tells Frankie that she doesn't want to argue and "I'm not going
to BEG, either!" Well THAT'S a switch.
Maybe it's just me, but the last few days have seemed extremely blah.
I just can't seem to muster up much comment on them. Oh well.
TAN: Notice to flagflyers: We had our first big storm of the season.
I was snugly ensconced in the house the whole time, so I hadn't
ventured out among the fallen trees, etc., but I was shocked to look
out my curtains Friday morning to see that my FLAG was mostly down on
the porch. Upon further inspection, I could see the it's METAL pole
WAS still in the holder, the base still pointing out and up, but it
had been COMPLETELY bent backward by the wind! The flag itself is a
very sturdy vinyl/canvas-like material whose colors have not faded a
whit over the last year of being outside. I brought it in and will
see if I can fix the pole by Monday (Veterans Day, after all), but it
WAS a reminder that the flags should be protected during stormy
weather.
