LOD:
Greenlee to Vanessa: "What is WITH you, anyway? You're wound tighter than your last FACELIFT." BWAHAHAA!

All things considered, does it ever occur to Simone that chattering and nagging at Mateo while he's in a near-life & death situation isn't the wisest thing to be doing at the moment? For that matter, a cord dangling from that big black thing in Mateo's ear is a might suspicious, don't you think?

How does Mateo think a phone call in the park is going to enlighten him as to Proteus' identity. It's not like it has Caller-ID.

LOVED Greenlee's nickname for Larry: Stick Shift

TAN: Isn't it about time AMC did a story on breast lumps? I only watch AMC, so I don't know if or how it's been covered on other soaps, but I don't recall AMC EVER doing one. I had 5 (liquid-filled) cysts removed from my breasts today via needle aspiration, and I was VERY relieved to watch them collapse on the sonogram as it happened. The needle doesn't hurt much more than getting a shot of novocaine at the dentist. Women need to KNOW what's happening to their bodies -- it's the NOT knowing that's so frightening. I think Opal (especially with Jill Larson's wonderful acting) would be a PERFECT character to find a lump or two (or have them show up on a yearly mammogram) and then have her go through the steps needed to deal with them. She doesn't HAVE to have breast cancer if TPTB don't want to go in that direction. I think it would be VERY helpful and reassuring to women to know what to expect. In any case, I highly recommend "Dr. Susan Love's Breast Book" to ALL women (I've given it to my mother and my sister). It was recommended to me by the doctor's office about 5 years ago when I had a similar cyst removed. The book is VERY informative about all aspects of women's breasts in various stages of life and is very easy to read. It made a major difference in my attitude between dealing with the cyst of 5 years ago and the ones removed today (I was TERRIFIED the first time). (BTW, in the Bay Area, the breast surgeon I went to is Alfred Butner in Mountain View, CA -- he is wonderfully warm and compassionate, highly skilled, well-known and respected. I would recommend him to ANYONE (don't let the word "surgeon" scare you)).
