Why were Erica and Chris left behind at the crime scene? If they need to talk first, that's one thing, but right there in the same room where the murder occurred? Shouldn't there be police tape across the door and a police officer guarding the scene? Is anyone going to call Opal and tell her about it?

Erica is CLEARLY lying and being very calculating at that, insisting she was "in a trance". A little later, she invokes the "bushy haired stranger" ploy. (I've read all of Ann Rule's true crime books).

At the hospital, Jake tells Erica that, as the DA, he is responsible for preserving the integrity of the investigation. TOO LATE!

What is up with Greenlee wanting to keep on with her relationship with Jake? I thought maybe she just meant she wanted to stay friends, but now I'm not so sure.

Again, WHY is Laura still at the hospital -- she's not manifesting ANY symptoms of medical problems (other than mental). Greenlee and Leo are really happy and I suppose it's just their nature to be oblivious to everyone around them, but they keep going to the hospital and all they do is make out with each other, despite knowing that Laura and Jake are right there. Tacky and thoughtless.
