PREVIOUSLY ON ALL MY CHILDREN

At the boathouse, Rosa yells at Mateo as he slams Gabriel facedown onto a picnic table: "Mateo, no, you've got it all wrong! He didn't touch me. Look at his face! He's been beaten up!"

After Erica says he's stupid, a janitor tells her: "For a little lady, you've got an awfully big mouth!"

Brooke hands Leo a big fat check as a wedding gift to help the newlyweds get started: "It's the least I can do, Leo, after everything that you've done for Laura." Greenlee watches (missing the part where Leo strongly protests) and says: "I KNEW it!"

Ryan tells Dimitri and Jake: "Go to your service, share all your happy memories of Gillian, but I can't do that because Gillian's not gone."

ENCHANTMENT

Erica is dumbfounded that the janitor would speak to her like that. She's dressed in skintight lime-green jeans and a pukey-yellow (chartreuse?) spandex. The front and back wind around her neck and then tie over one shoulder, creating a scarf-effect that dangles all the way down to her crotch. Erica sputters that she NEVER yells and was merely trying to be understood over the noise of that THING! He says he's just doing his what he's paid to do. She tells him NOT in the daytime while she's trying to WORK! He says that if she had left him alone, he would have been done by now, "so why don't you go -- curl your eyelashes or something and you let me get back to my work, ok?" He turns his back on her and starts vacuuming again. She stares at him with her mouth hanging open in utter ASTONISHMENT that he would talk to her like that! [I'm fascinated by how smooth and polished her bared shoulders and upper chest appears -- she's just had an EXPENSIVE detailing] Erica snaps off the vacuum and asks if he knows who he's talking too. He guesses that she's one of them overpaid models based on the fact that her face is plastered all over the building. She corrects him by saying her signature line, i.e.: "*I* am Erica Kane!" He laughs at the absurd joke and puts out his hand, introducing himself as the governor of Minnesota. She just stares at him with a head tilt and half-smile. He squats to her level, looks over at her picture on the wall, then back at her, and decides that she really IS Erica Kane, making her the head honcho. She asserts that she is the Founder, President and CEO of Enchantment, so why doesn't he just GET OUT of there if he wants to keep his job? She holds out her hand for him to talk to. He cockily tells he she may be the boss, but her leadership skills need a little bit of work. She holds up both hands now and says she's not going to stand there and be JUDGED by a man in a JUMPSUIT! Janitor: "Oohh, I see what's going on now! ForGET it. I'm not taking it off!" Erica (hands about to go up over her head now): "WHAT? Oh, you are INCREDIBLE!" She stomps over to her desk as he says: "THANK you!" She says she's going to call his supervisor. He walks over and tells her it won't do her any good and whispers that his number is unlisted. Erica is so offended and astounded by the utter GALL of this man [who SHOULD be fired IMNSHO] that she just orders him to GET OUT!!!!

Shirley, one of Erica's lackeys, has just started to walk in with Erica's dry-cleaning and Erica assures her that she didn't mean for HER to get out. Erica realizes that GREENLEE was supposed to pick up the dry-cleaning and asks where she is. Shirley says Greenlee was too busy to do it. Erica: "TOO ***BUSY***? Where is she?" Shirley says she left. Erica is NOT happy to hear this and demands that Shirley get her on the phone RIGHT NOW!! In the meantime, the janitor is wrapping the cord up on his vacuum, but snidely says to Erica: "I guess the Boss Lady's fingers are broken, huh?" [Ok, I'm going to venture a guess that he's really independently rich or at least OWNS PV Building Maintenance, but likes to stay "humble" by working as a janitor]

A short time later, Shirley has apparently finished trying to contact Greenlee. She walks out. Erica is now sitting behind her desk and gives an expectant "WELL?" to the janitor. He finally finds a missing piece of his vacuum. He says he's going to go work on the big, empty conference room now. Erica: "FINE! Anywhere but HERE!" He caresses the phallic-like tube and cockily [he's so cocky he goes around waving cock-like objects just to remind us in case we don't get the drift from his porno-movie-honed inflection] adds that he's going to be "all alone" in there, but for her not to get any ideas. Erica stands up and leans over the desk to read his badge. His name is Christopher Stamp. [Funny, I would have SWORN his last name would be something like "Cox"]. She informs him that she's going to talk to the head of maintenance about him. [What kind of accent does he have? It seems like a cross between Brooklyn and Boston, but being a life-long west-coaster, I can only guess. Clearly it's being accentuated to impress upon us that he is a working-class schmoe as opposed to the PV elite.] He asks how she got THIS FAR (he waves around to room to encompass the essence of Enchantement) without sense of humor. Erica says she happens to have a GREAT sense of humor, but she doesn't find HIM very funny -- she finds HIM to be very RUDE! She walks around her desk and he continues to sneer at her: "Oh, I'm just a guy in a jumpsuit. You and I -- we don't exist in the same world!" [SECURITY!!!] She starts to explain that she is NOT a snob, but then puts up her hands and says she doesn't care WHAT planet he exists on -- she finds him VERY insulting and she wants him to leave -- she has a funeral to go to. He suddenly goes humble and loses his accent entirely as he apologizes for being way out of line. In an instant, though, he puts on a heavy Irish brogue and says: "But from now on, I'll be sure to remember my place!" He starts to walk out, still gripping his tube. She says she's going to change her clothes now and for him NOT to be there when she gets back! [Is that really a wise thing to say to a man who considers every chance acquaintance as an opportunity to play a scene from a movie with the word "Naughty" in the title?"]

PV HOSPITAL

Greenlee attempts to quietly eavesdrop on Leo at the ICU nurses' station, but her cell phone rings (that would be Shirley trying to track her down for Erica). She realizes it's Erica and bends down to try to retrieve it from her purse in order to make it stop ringing before Leo can see her. Unlike 99.9% of soap phone calls, this one rings at least 6 times. Meanwhile, Leo bends down to tell Brooke he's going to pay the money back. Brooke says it doesn't matter. They agree to consider it a loan. Brooke smiles and looks into Laura's room, saying everything has changed and Laura is going to live because of Gillian's generosity. Leo says he'll always be grateful for that. She asks if he's going to the funeral. He says he wants to, but doesn't think Ryan wants him there. Brooke: "You know what, Leo? Gillian gave Laura a chance to live and that's the only good thing that came out of this tragedy, and I know in time Ryan will understand that." Brooke IS going to the funeral. Leo's going to stay, although they just gave Laura something to help her sleep.

Greenlee, who has managed to either stop her phone from ringing or it finally rolled over to voicemail, walks around the desk and murmurs to herself that Leo just married Laura for her money and that's all it was. She walks up to Laura's door, peers in, looks around surreptitiously and then slips in. She walks up to the sleeping Laura, who is looking much pinker today and says: "Poor thing. Well, you're alive. There's that, at least." She moves to leave, but Laura wakes up and, with amazing clarity of thought and purpose for someone who was asleep 2 seconds ago, tells Greenlee that she's Leo's wife now. She knows that Greenlee doesn't believe that Leo loves her, but he does. He's proven it -- she's not dying now and they are going to be happy for a long time. Greenlee keeps murmuring things about how Laura should rest and not talk, etc. Laura says she's really glad that Greenlee didn't want Leo anymore and that she saw that it couldn't work. Greenlee, while not being outright nasty, returns to her usual mode and tells Laura to believe what she wants to believe -- she'll find out the truth soon enough. Laura: "The truth?"

Laura says she knows Greenlee thinks Leo will leave her as soon as she's well. Greenlee: "I -- wasn't going to SAY it." Laura assures Greenlee that Leo LOVES her and it's not because she's sick. Greenlee condescendingly says she's probably right. Laura says she has a new heart and a new life and there's nothing Greenlee can to do change it. Greenlee backs off and says Laura's probably right. Laura says she's sorry that Leo hurt Greenlee, but it's different with HER. Greenlee asks if Laura isn't worried that Leo married her for her money. Laura stares.

Laura says Leo didn't marry her for her money -- she doesn't HAVE any. Greenlee says that BROOKE does. Laura says Leo isn't like that anymore. Greenlee asks how Laura can trust him. Laura says that was Greenlee's big mistake. She can trust Leo -- she can feel it in her HEART! Laura realizes that sounded kind of strange, all things considered. Greenlee: "You can already feel things with that heart?" Laura: "I haven't had time to think about that yet, but, yes. And it's my heart now, even though it was somebody else's just a little while ago." Greenlee: "Somebody else's?" Laura: "And if it weren't for that person, I'd be dead by now." Greenlee: "That PERSON? You don't know who it is?" Laura stares at her, suddenly realizing that Greenlee DOES know who it is. Just then, Zora walks in and politely but firmly asks Greenlee who she is. Greenlee says she's a friend. Zora chides her, saying she is NOT wearing a gown and NOT wearing a mask, so she's going to have to LEAVE. [ROTFL -- Zora's not wearing HER mask, either] Greenlee tells Laura to "Be well" and she and Zora walk out.

Outside the room, Zora tells Greenlee that this is a Critical Care unit and that visitors are strictly monitored [GUFFAW!!!!] Greenlee smiles and said people saw her and no one said anything [true]. Zora wobbles her head for emphasis and quietly says: "Well, BAMBI, I'm saying it now -- you cannot come in here and--" Zora sees Jake, dressed in a black suit, and says hi to him. She rushes off before Jake can say anything to her. Greenlee exitedly tells Jake that she was RIGHT! She SAW Leo take money from Brooke right there in that hallway!!!! Greenlee: "If I had ANY doubts about their marriage--" Jake: "That is enough! Why do you have to say these things? What are you even doing in this hospital? Just GO HOME, Greenlee!" Greenlee: "All right, all right! I know it's a bad time, but I just couldn't help being HAPPY -- for ME!" Jake shakes his head in dismay. Greenlee realizes he's on his way to Gillian's funeral. She softens and says she knows he loved her. She tells him not to yell at her, but does he mind if she comes to the funeral with him? Fortunately, Greenlee is wearing a sleeveless BLACK dress, although it has subtle sparklies all over it. He says he wouldn't mind at all and they leave.

THE YACHT

Ryan lies on his bed in the darkened stateroom. He's dressed in an old bluish-green tshirt and rumpled black khakis, looking pretty scruffy. Someone is pounding at the door. Ryan slowly rolls to the side of the bed and pumps out a dispirited "Not now." It's Steven, the steward. He tells Ryan a package has arrived and that it is addressed to Mrs. Lavery. Ryan gets up to take the package and Steven leaves. Ryan sits to open the package and pulls out a framed wedding photo of him and Gillian.

Ryan flips through the pages of the newly arrived photo album and remembers their vows. Gillian's voice: "Ryan, you've seen me through the worst times in my life, when the world seemed like such a dark and scary place, and you showed me the way. And when I couldn't find the words, when I couldn't speak, I found the word for "heart" in your eyes. And that's what you are and always will be -- my heart." Ryan lies back and hears a loud heartbeat. Gillian's ghostly voice says: "Ryyyyy-aaaan. My HEART. My HEART. Ryan seems to realize something, puts the album down and races out of the room. [That's when I realize his shirt is WAY too short for him, because in the back it's up around his waist and his back and blue/black underwear are showing. Nice butt.] The camera focuses on the framed wedding photo.

WILDWIND CHAPEL

Anna stands in the chapel wiping away tears and looking at a picture of Gillian. Edmund, dressed in a black suit, walks in and overhears Anna tell the picture that she'll never forgive herself. Anna whirls, startled and says she wanted to pay her respects privately. In fact, she shouldn't be there at all. She wonders who else will die because of her. He says they are working to reduce further damage. She points out that they had told Ryan that they had everything under control. Now Ryan's life is ruined and it's no wonder he's not coming to the funeral. Edmund tries to soothe her, but she says she's afraid. She can't explain it, but she doesn't think "this" is over. [Ya think?] Edmund shifts his weight to the other foot and grimaces. He's very tanned.

Later, Edmund and Anna are sitting at the back of the chapel. Gabriel, who has finally changed into a black tshirt and jeans, walks in. He turns to Anna and tells her it's not her fault -- Ilene would have killed ALL of them [then why did she merely drug Gabriel?] Anna is dressed in a rumpled dirty-beige Lands End shirt, her hair is pulled back slapdash [probably with a rubber-band from the morning paper], and her face is tear-streaked. Anna says that Ilene was after HER. Gabriel says that doesn't mean it's her FAULT. Edmund gets up to check on Eugenia. Gabriel sits in the pew in front of Anna and they bond over being equally hated by Charlotte. She says she made a mistake and won't let her guard down again -- Charlotte won't get to either one of them again. She wants Gabriel to have a NORMAL life. Gabriel: "But I'm NOT normal. I'm an ANIMAL!" Anna gently says: "Did Charlotte say that to you?" Gabriel: "She locked me in a cage. She told me I was an animal, then she made it true."

Anna asks if he knows WHY Charlotte kept him locked up. He doesn't know, but Charlotte had told him she'd kill HIM one day, too. [If he hates Charlotte so much, why did he remember HER voice telling him to find Anna Devane and then he actually go do it?] He suddenly whips around and says he's NEVER going to be locked up again, no matter what Anna thinks! Anna is perplexed that he would think that. Gabriel: "And I heard Dimitri! He wants to put me in a mental hospital! Places like that are like Bryn Wydd and they just lock you up!!" She promises him that it's NOT going to happen. She can't change his past, but she CAN see to it that he has a better future! Anna: "The one good thing that has come out of this whole mess is that I have a brother and you have me, and I won't let you down." They hear people start to arrive. Anna says she can't be seen there and that they'll talk later. She rushes out the back way. [Cutting it kind of close there, isn't she?]

A couple of unknown ushers open the doors and Dimitri walks in, escorting Eugenia and Alex. Eugenia can barely walk in her grief. They walk up to the coffin and Eugenia strokes it and, in a rush, Eugenia says: "My faith tells me that my dear one is happy now and I will see -- see her again whenever God wills it." [Actually, you could see her now if you lift the lid -- The bullet wound would be EASY to cosmetically repair (just ask the people on the HBO show, Six Feet Under), and a nice dress would hide the sewed-back-together chest [Didn't they do an autopsy, though? She WAS murdered]. The ladies take their seats. Edmund, Adam, Liza and Marian walk in. [I wonder why Adam is there since Gillian hated his guts, but then remember that he's Ryan's employer]. Marian explains that Stuart is so broken up about it that he's staying back at the house with Sam and Maddie [putting the kids right back into the line of fire, I see]. Mateo rolls Hayley in, followed by Rosa [Rosa didn't even KNOW Gillian, did she? I suppose there is the vague by-marriage connection -- if that's so, why isn't Isabella there?] Hayley tells Dimitri that she just doesn't understand how this could have happened with all the extra security they have there. [must -- muffle] Dimitri keeps a straight, somber face as he says Derek is conducting a full investigation and they should know more soon. Mateo sees Gabriel standing over by a window and demands to know what HE's doing there. Rosa watches and makes a brief "uh-oh" kind of face.

PV HOSPITAL

Ryan walks up to the observation window to Laura's room. When the camera is looking OUT at Ryan from the room, we can hear her heart monitor beeping steadily (not to mention LOUDLY). When we look INTO the room from the hallway, we can't hear it at all. He walks in (sans mask and gown, like everyone else) and sits down next to Laura, staring at her chest and hearing a thudding heartbeat (separate from the heart monitor which doesn't seem to be keeping up). He hears Gillian in his head: "And when I couldn't find the words, when I couldn't speak, I found the word for "heart" in your eyes. And that's what you are and always will be -- my heart." He is hurting badly (and really needs a shave). Laura continues to sleep peacefully and he leans forward to put his head against her chest to hear the heartbeat.

Laura's heart is beating so fast that I'm concerned. Laura wakes up and Ryan pulls back suddenly and stares at her open-mouthed. She's surprised to see him there. He sputters, trying to explain what he was doing. She interrupts him and says she was supposed to be resting. Still in a daze, he apologizes. She says they'll yell at him, but she's glad he's there. Ryan: "The heart." Laura smiles and says: "Yeah. It's brand-new. It's working well." Ryan gives a slight, happy/hopeful/innocent smile and says: "Is it?" Laura: Yeah. I'm going to be well now. Someone has apparently turned a fan on HIGH in Laura's room, because Ryan's hair starts ruffling in the breeze and he hears Gillian's voice as he hugs himself: "Ryyyy- aaan. Come to the chapel." Ryan: "I can hear her." Laura: "What?" Ryan: "Gillian's voice." Laura: "Where's Gillian?" Ryan earnestly says: "She's HERE! She's here! She's with us!" A gowned Leo bursts into the room and says: "HEY, Ryan, Ryan. Hey. How you doing? Sorry. You can't be in here. Nurse Zora will get very upset." Ryan obediently gets up and lets Leo pull him out of the room. Laura watches, narrowing her eyes in confusion. Outside the room, Ryan says: "I heard her!" Leo: "I'm sorry I had to take you out of there like that, but she's still very --" Ryan: "She was here." Leo: "Who?" Ryan: "Gillian! She -- she whispered in my ear!" He tries hard to remember what she said, then says: "I've got to go to her!" He rushes off and Bianca walks up asking what happened and if Ryan told Laura about the heart. Leo says he doesn't know, he doesn't THINK so, though. Bianca asks when they are going to tell her. Leo says not yet -- they want to wait until she's stronger. Bianca agrees. Laura sees them conferring in the hall and waves to them. Clearly she knows SOMETHING is being kept from her. B&L walk in and Laura asks where Ryan is. Leo tells her that he left and assures her that nothing is wrong.

Later, Leo tells Laura that he's going to go start hunting for shelter. She says okay and tells him not to be extravagant. Leo: "Who ME? NEVER!" He asks Bianca to come with, but Laura asks her to stay a moment. Leo leaves and Laura tells Bianca that Greenlee was there and seemed surprised that Laura doesn't know whose heart she has. Bianca: "Really?" She walks over and hands Laura her therapeutic pillow and tells her that that info is supposed to be confidential. Laura says she's starting to get a really bad feeling about this. Bianca offers to go get Nurse Zora. Laura demurs. Bianca says that she doesn't know what to say. Laura: "What is it with Greenlee, anyway? Is she just going to be this beastly EX forever? Is she ever going to get over Leo?" Bianca sighs and says she doesn't know, but that the EX thing can get really complicated, and Greenlee is NOT someone that you can just file away on your top shelf and forget about. She tells Laura that she needs NOT to think about Greenlee right now. Laura says Leo has been really great, but that Greenlee is making her think things she doesn't want to think -- about herself. Bianca says she knows it's going to be tough, but Laura can't think about ANYTHING that Greenlee says that's more complicated than nail polish. She grins. Laura says Greenlee KNEW something when she came in there -- and so does Bianca. Bianca denies it, but Laura doesn't believe her. Bianca looks worried and keeps her mouth shut. Laura: "What IS it Bianca? What DON'T I know?"

WILDWIND CHAPEL

Gabriel sits down in the back and Dimitri tells Mateo that Gabriel is Alex's brother. Alex agrees and says she'd explain, but this is not the time. Dimitri suspiciously asks where Mateo met him. Mateo hesitates, but then says it was at the boathouse and Gabriel took a swing at him. Rosa pipes in that it was a misunderstanding. Dimitri says Gabriel is a very troubled young man who has a lot of things to work out. Mateo asks if Dimitri means that Gabriel is a threat. Dimitri says he honestly doesn't know. Rosa watches Gabriel, who watches her back.

In the chapel foyer, Adam walks up to David [what the HELL is HE doing there?] and says he wants a word with him. Joe and Opal are talking in a corner. David says he's very eager to hear how their plan is going. Adam snaps that it ISN'T! David, who got a haircut for the funeral, says: "EXCUSE me?" Adam says he spoke to his lawyer and their deal is OFF. David threatens to tell the police how J.R. broke into his hotel room and stole prescription drugs. Adam says the situation has changed and he can't just go around bribing judges anymore. Besides, his lawyers have convinced him that it would be easier to keep J.R. out of trouble than it would be to keep David out of JAIL. David says Adam doesn't want to call his bluff -- he has enough on J.R. to mark him for LIFE! [I'm sure Dixie would appreciate his warm-hearted concern for her child and that it would score a lot of points with HER] Adam says David's testimony against J.R. is LAUGHABLE -- after all, he's the Pine Valley Poisoner -- who's going to believe anything HE says? Adam leaves with a warning sneer. David looks trapped and takes a few steps to make a cell phone call. David: "This is Dr. David Hayward. Never MIND how I got your number. I want you to meet me at the boathouse in 10 minutes. Let me put it this way -- if you're not there, you're going to wish that you were never born!"

Liza walks over to Adam and asks what he and David were talking about. He says he just stopped David Hayward. They both turn to watch a determined David walk out.

ENCHANTMENT

Erica, now dressed in a black, sleeveless, turtle-necked dress with an asymmetrical hem, walks out and calls for Val. He doesn't answer and she bemoans the fact that she has to do EVERYTHING herself. She clops back in, huffing, sits in a chair that's TOTALLY unsuitable for computing, and scoots it up to her laptop. She then says: "Okay. Oh, I can't answer my e-mail. Who am I kidding? I'm going to be late!" She backs the chair up and apparently gets her dress caught in the spokes because she is now tethered to the chair. Christopher, the randy janitor just happens to walk by [wocka, wocka, wocka] as she's calling for Val or Shirley or ANYBODY to help her. She sees him and orders him to come in and help her. With his usual snide attitude, he protests that NOW she wants him to come in? She tells him to GET IN THERE -- her dress is caught in her chair. He walks over with his hands in his pockets and, now sporting a southern accent, says: "Yeee-upp, that seems like the problem, all right." She says she needs to get loose - she's on her way to a FUNERAL! He saunters over and squats down while sultry music plays, saying: "Well, let me see what I can do." He puts his head very close to her breasts as he looks down at the problem area and she pulls back indignantly. He looks up at her and tells her she smells good and asks if they sell that perfume there. She offers him a free case of it if he just gets her out of there FAST! He says she's got a deal and whips out an open switchblade. She gasps and jumps back. He looks surprised at her reaction. She says he can't CUT HER DRESS! He waves the knife a little and says he COULD remove the ARM. She protectively grabs her arm with her other hand and gasps again. He clarifies that he's talking about the CHAIR. She tells him to go ahead and do it, but he says he can't do it with her SITTING on the chair. [How exactly would removing the ARM help -- I'm under the impression that it's caught in the chair WHEELS since she had so pointedly and awkwardly scooted her chair over to the laptop earlier. What the hell kind of contortions did her tiny body go through in order for her dress to be so jammed into the chair -- I'm imagining a kind of double-twist jackknife maneuver.] Erica gasps again and says: "Oh, NO! Oh, NO! I am NOT going to take this off! Christopher: "Fine. Have it your way." He gets up and starts to walk out of the room. Erica: "NO! Wait, wait, WAIT! Uh -- well, all right, but just turn around." The saxophone music gets louder as Christopher gives her a knowing smirk and turns around. He makes impatient noises and folds his arms while Erica prattles at him as she takes off her dress: "Just a minute. Don't turn around yet. Okay, I -- no, I mean, just stay there and just -- close your eyes then while I -- I grab my Pashmina." Christopher whips around and says: "While you grab your WHAT?" His eyes widen appreciatively when he sees her standing in her black teddy. He realizes she means her shawl that's draped over a nearby chair and picks it up saying: "You mean --" Erica: "Yeah, that's a Pashmina." He holds it out to her, but keeps his head down and away. She wraps it around herself and Jack walks in, his own eyes widening at the scene and the saxophone music. He smiles and jerks his head, putting his hands in his pockets. He seems amused.

Erica gestures to Christopher pulling her dress out of the chair. Christopher, now all business, hands her the dress and says "Any time!" He starts to walk out, but stops and smacks his hands together, then rubs them and says, BTW, she owes him a case of perfume. She tells him to talk to her assistant who will arrange it. Christopher tells Jack that the women he knows -- they really appreciate it when he does something nice for them. He saves their clothes, they give him a case of perfume. Erica: "Yeah, Mr. Montgomery and I don't CARE." Christopher tells Jack, man-to-man: "Mr. Montgomery?" Jack: "Hmm?" Christopher: "Lots of luck!" Jack: "Oh, you have NO idea." Christopher leaves. Erica tries to cover her embarrassment by asking Jack if he thinks this is funny. Jack goes through almost his entire repertoire of Jack-like posturing and face grimaces, tugs, tilts and sways that he can think of before deciding it's safest to simply say he thinks they might be late. She says she IS ready. Noting that she's dressed in only a teddy and a Pashmina, he reminds her that they are going to a CHURCH. She amends it to ALMOST.

WILDWIND CHAPEL

Opal and Myrtle are sitting in a pew and Opal asks if Myrtle just felt a cool breeze. [Insert Patrick Swayze singing "She's Like the Wind" Or just insert Patrick Swayze -- works for me] Opal says the hair on the back of her neck is standing straight up. In another pew, Hayley asks Dimitri how he can even THINK of beginning the service when Ryan isn't even THERE yet. Dimitri says Ryan isn't quite ready to say goodbye yet and won't be coming. Hayley thinks they should hold off on the memorial until Ryan IS ready. Dimitri looks meaningfully toward something and says they have to get this done NOW [because the body isn't getting any fresher] for Eugenia's sake. Hayley looks over at Eugenia and her heart breaks for her. She says she supposes Dimitri is right. Dimitri takes a seat as choir music begins and Father Benedek stands behind the casket. Rosa gets up and walks out and Gabriel follows.

THE BOATHOUSE

David shuffle-stomps over to Sweeney and tells him that he KNOWS that he and his buddies broke into his hotel room and stole drugs from his medical bag. Sweeney starts to protest but David interrupts saying: "You're a DEALER, Sweeney! If I finger you, you're going DOWN!" [If David fingers him, going down is sure to follow. NOW we know why the boathouse is so popular!] Sweeney is cowed and asks what David wants. David says he wants him to help GET J.R. Chandler. Sweeney asks why. David smarmily smiles and says it's none of his business -- if he just does what David tells him, they'll get along just fine.

ENCHANTMENT

In Erica's darkened office, Christopher walks in and starts opening her drawers. He pulls some files out of her conveniently unlocked desk and starts rifling through them. [Oh, so now he's either a stalker looking for addresses and phone numbers or he's a corporate spy -- either way, he's pretty stupid, because janitors usually have master keys to everything anyway and he could have just gone in there after hours without mouthing off to Erica and coyly implying that Erica's sole purpose is to get into his pants or otherwise doing his utmost to call attention to himself.]

PV HOSPITAL

Bianca reiterates that Laura can't pay any attention to what Greenlee says. Laura says it's not what she said -- it was the LOOK on her face -- as if she was AFRAID to say something. It's like the look on BIANCA'S face. Bianca protests. Laura says that RYAN was there earlier and when she woke up, his head was near her chest and it looked like he hadn't slept for days. He was crying. He said he could "hear her, her voice". Bianca is shocked: "He heard her voice?" Comprehension dawns on Laura's face and she says: "Oh, my God! He came because of HER! It was GILLIAN! I have Gillian's HEART!"

WILDWIND CHAPEL

The pews are now filled and Father Benedek starts the service: "Everyone who knew Gillian's irrepressible charm will never forget her. But more than her charm or her beauty or the passion that she showed in everything that she did, we must now praise her final act of generosity." The camera pans and everyone looks REALLY bummed out, especially Eugenia. Dixie is wearing a low-cut black mini- dress. [What is the MATTER with these people? Are they at a funeral or a cocktail party?] Father Benedek: "Because of her unselfishness, there are people who will live longer and happier lives." Brooke looks grateful and sad. Father B: "Let us pray that the Almighty will welcome his daughter, Gillian, into everlasting life." Ryan, still dressed in his shabbies, enters the chapel and walks slowly down the aisle holding a gardenia. Father B pauses and looks concerned at the interruption. People notice that Father B has stopped praying and start to look up. They seem VERY concerned to see Ryan shuffle down the aisle. Ryan stops at the casket and puts the gardenia on it. Eugenia: "Ryan? Please, come sit with me." Ryan turns and says: "I, uh -- I came for Gillian." [he motions for the forklift to move on in -- okay, not really (it was a backhoe)] We hear the breeze again and Ryan looks off to the side, seeing an extremely well-backlit Gillian, dressed in a skin- tight white gown, (fortified for the woman who needs EXTRA support) with flowing white chiffon [possibly wings] draped over her shoulders. She smiles at him. The camera switches back and forth between them staring at each other.
