Boogie Chillen February 26, 2001 (Monday)
Is is just me, or has the time-honored tradition of yanking the
phone out of the wall lost it's impact, given that all you really
need to do is plug in another modular cord?
In what way is David prepared to operate, given that a) he has no
feeling in his bloody right arm, b) Leslie tried to kill him and
Dixie, c) Leslie is responsible for pretty much yanking the great
surgeon's arm practically out of it's socket, possibly ruining
his prestigious career, and d) he has a videotape of her stealing
drugs from his office? And that's just the stuff that people
KNOW about! He says Leslie's heart was probably be affected by
the fall, so HE should be the doctor in charge. She might have
broken a tooth, too -- perhaps they should put her dentist in
charge. On the other, hand, Jake is a judgmental, self-righteous
tightass whose brother's marriage was broken up by Leslie; if
Leslie WAS the one who put the Libidozone in the punch (as far as
Jake knows), she was also responsible for making countless people
sick and him impregnating Gillian, who lost the baby AND a
fallopian tube. Don't they have any other doctors that could
work on her? Then David tells Tad (in an effort to show that
he's fit to operate on Leslie): "Leslie Coulsen means less than
NOTHING to me, alive or DEAD!" Now THERE'S the caring attending
physician we all want treating us!
Another GREAT rewind moment: Junior slugging David RIGHT in his
stab wound! Junior slugging David RIGHT in his stab wound!
Junior slugging David RIGHT in his stab wound! Junior slugging
David RIGHT in his stab wound! GO JUNIOR!! I only wish Junior
were bigger and stronger! David passes out from the pain and
Dixie throws herself down to the floor to help him, begging for
somebody (Tad or Junior) to "do something". They just stare at
her and each other. LOL! David's lucky that "do something"
wasn't interpreted as jumping up and down on him!
If Dimitri thinks he's outwitted Charlotte by putting on an act
at Wildwind since it's probably wired for sound, what makes him
think she hasn't done the same to his jet? Whoops, spoke too
soon; it appears the pilot is on SOMEONE's payroll, other than
Dimitri's.
Does anyone feel sympathetic to Laura? Anyone? Me neither.

I'd have an iota of empathy for her" Coutellier
