Why aren't the police wearing masks in the smokey, contaminated Emergency area? Don't they ALL carry masks, if not portable oxygen tanks, for respiratory emergencies?

When Pat sat up coughing and said "Oh, my HEAD!", how many of you told her that her head probably hurts from her exceptionally tight braids?

Will any of the doctors be sued for practicing medicine within seconds of waking up from uncontrolled anesthesia?

The paramedics and/or cops said that the air was clear in the Emergency room. How did that know that if it's colorless and odorless? Why weren't there giant mechanical fans continuing to suck the contaminated air out?

The boy KNOWS there are vicious dogs at Wildwind -- why did he go BACK there? Does the sudden return of vicious guard dogs (which we haven't really seen since Palmer had his dobermans) have anything to do with the fatal dog attack in San Francisco last January? The dog even LOOKED like a Pressa Carnia although I'm pretty sure it's not! Why would they have vicious dogs (who are unfamiliar with the estate's inhabitants) around small children? How good can the dogs be if they let the boy get all the way into the stable? What do the horses think of the dogs? Do they eat Purina or IAMS? When they bark at night, do other dogs in the neighborhood dare to answer?
